Well here we are at the beginning of Summer for 2010. I made this large 34" Patriotic "USA Crow Lady" to sit on the front porch or hang on your door for the entire summer. All that I would suggest is not placing her in the direct sunshine.

I have not been creating much for the past 2 weeks. I have been having this dizziness from morning until afternoon. I am now keeping a journal to try to pin point what is going on. I feel it has to do with some of the medication I am on at this time. Any one with similar symptoms email me about yours. I had been feeling just great until all of this happened. Sometimes I wonder if god is just putting me in my place, when I get to cocky about feeling so good. I do thank him all the time when I am having good healthy days. So maybe I am wrong about that.

In the interim I have started working on Fall items and a few Santa's. That Season will be hear before we can shake a stick. Besides, in the Fall I am hoping that I will be making the move down to Vero Beach, if not before. However, there has been no interest in my place so far.

Looks like a Big Storm is brewing here in Central Fl., so will close before I get kicked off of here.

Sooooooooo! Inbetween decluttering and depersonalizing my home, I have been making afew new items. Will put some on ebay, but mostly on Lemon Poppy Seeds. Not that any of my stuff is selling these days. But I just keep trying. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. I have been trying to keep my prices down with the economy and all.

Yes I am still having those. It sure beats the alternative.hehehe I went down to Vikki's last week end and we celebrated my BIG day then. Mark (my son-in-law) made my B.D. dinner, Lobster tails, OMG, were they ever good. He even baked me ,gluten free chocolate Brownies. They were marvelous. I sure made a pig out of myself. Oh Yea, not to forget, home made baked custard. What a wonderful Son-In-Law I have.

What did Vikki and I do, you might ask. We were out House hunting all day. Yea! ! ! Great News! ! I am moving down to Vero Beach, that is where they live. Since I am not getting any younger, we all feel it would be a good time to make that Big move. At least I am still able to do all my own packing.hehehe As for my business, none of that will have to change. My computer will travel right along with me. I will stay with com cast, so my email addy should not change. But, my phone number will.

I will keep you all posted as to how things are going. I already have my double wide on the market. Didn't let any grass grow under my feet.

IT HAS FINALLY WARMED UP HERE IN FLORIDA!

Thought I would let you know what I have been up to lately. It has been a long and hard struggle, but I think I finally have conker my e-pattern quest. I have been trying to learn how to do my own patterns for a whole month now. This little Angel "Miss Tilly" #128 was the first attempt on my own. I must tell you that I have a wonderful teacher that has been so patient with me. You know the old saying, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks", well don't believe it one bit. This old dog is still learning every day of my life.

I am finally getting some new patterns listed on Pattern Mart. I will also be listing them on Lemon Poppy Seeds and my web site. I have many more to make into e-patterns so stay tuned to this station. You can also always email me at grannygreers@comcast.net if you have any questions or suggestions.

Hope you all had a wonderful week-end. We are finally having some wonderful weather here in Central Fl. So I worked out in my yard for a couple hours each day. I am getting all kinds of idea's on changing some things around. The fellow that lives next door has been helping me with the heavy stuff. Also digging out some things that got frozen and things that I am tired of. When you get to be a certain age, your body will not allow you to do all of the things you have enjoyed doing most of your life. So you hire it done.

The 2 bunny's and the EGG Make do are now listed on E-Bay at a starting price of $8.95. Hopefully I can get a few bids on this grouping. If things don't pick up on E-Bay, I may just pull out of there for good. I have really been giving stuff away that I put on for bids. A darling black bunny went off this week-end for $ .95. Sure can not afford to keep that up for very long. OH Yea! ! my ebay ID: catsinthebarn*primitives Lots of cute things on there now.

OKay, now it is March, where is Spring? I live in Florida for gosh sakes, when is this nightly temps going to get out of the 30's. We have had 2 really loooong drawn out cold months. Enough already! ! ! !

Well I finally got a new pattern finished. YEA! ! ! ! ! My Printer is working- - - - - -

At least I think it is working now. After fooling with it for 2 hours this AM, I was about to call on a neighbor to help me out. But then the next time I sat down here, it was working fine. Not sure what I did right, but so happy I did it. hehehe

The best part now is I can start working on my patterns. Yea! ! !

Printer MADNESS! ! ! ! ! !

Well I finally purchased a new Printer. I have always bought Lexmark printers, but this time I bought an HP Deskjet F2400 All in One Series. You see I am not at all mechanically inclined. But I always think I can beat it this time. I have spent approx. 4 hours trying to get this new printer to work. It is printing just fine, but it will not copy. I am sure it is a simple task that I am missing. If I don't have it done by Monday, I will be forced to call my Tech., AAron to come to my rescue.

OK, enough of that........We had our community Yard Sale today. I worked on getting ready for it for the past 3 days. Didn't sleep to well last night for fear I would over sleep. I was up by 5:30AM and out side at 7AM. Temp was 57 degrees then the Sun came out. Started out as a beautiful day, but ended up extremely Windy, cloudy and cold. I was so happy that I set up most of it in my Screen Room. Only drug out some larger items so people would know I was having the sale.

The customers only wanted the $ .50 to $1.00 items. It was like pulling teeth to get them to buy anything. Just wore me out. Well by 12 noon I had had enough and closed shop after making a Whooping $45.00. Needless to say, I will not do it again next year. I always end up taking the left overs to the Humane Society Shop in town. From now on I will cut out the yard sale and go straight to HSS.

My leg is still keeping me from walking in the mornings. They took ex rays and found nothing. The next step will my an MRI.

I HAVEN'T EVEN SENT OUT MY HAPPY NEW YEAR LETTER YET. SO HERE IT IS "HAPPY NEW YEAR".

I WANTED TO GET INTO MAKING NEW PATTERNS, BUT MY PRINTER IS NOT WORKING. SO UNTIL I AM ABLE TO BUY A NEW ONE, I HAVE PUT THE PATTERNS ON THE BACK BURNER.

I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON DOLLS AND HEARTS FOR BOTH EBAY AND MY FRIEND PAM IS GOING TO BE SELLING (hopefully) A FEW OF MY DOLLS AT RENNINGERS THIS WEEK END. THIS IS JAN. EXTRAVAGANZA, FOR THOSE NOT FAMILAR, IT IS A VERY LARGE ANTIQUE FLEA MARKET.

WE ARE ALL HOPING THE WEATHER PEOPLE ARE CORRECT WITH THE FORCAST THAT FLORIDA IS FINALLY WARMING UP. WE HAVE HAD 12 NIGHTS OF 35 OR BELOW. MY FURNACE HAS BEEN RUNNING NON STOP THE ENTIRE 12 DAYS AND NIGHTS. SO GOOD LUCK TO ALL 300 DEALERS AT RENNINGERS THIS WEEK END.

MILO GOT A HAIRCUT! ! ! !

Milo made a trip to the Groomer yesterday. I just had to show him off. I think he looks so cute, I laugh every time I look at him. We are still having problems with his house breaking. He is getting better, but we have a ways to go.

I was enjoying the cool weather that we were having, but it was much warmer today. When it warms up the misquitoes come back. They just eat me alive.

Only 2 more weeks until Christmas. Hope you are all further along than I am. Haven't even done my cards yet. At least I bought them.hehehehe

LAST MONTH OF 2009 (hard to believe)

Hi to all who read this blog. So happy you are visiting me today.

I have been making Santa's and SnowMen since July of this year. Before that I was stock pileing Bodies. Forgot to do any of the Large bodies, so have had to stop to get those made.

I must say I have enjoyed making the SnowMen the most this year. But they do not seem to be as popular as my Santa's have been.

I am going to try and keep up with this blogging more in 2010. Wish me luck! ! I seem to say these things them forget all about it. Give me a boost if you see I am not keeping my word.

I must tell you all that I now have 2 new pets. If you remember, both of my Cats, Charley and Shadow have passed on to Kitty Heaven. I now have a beautiful Russian Blue Kitty that is approx. 3 years old. Her name is Smokey, she was already named when I got her. I also have a little Yorkie that has been quit a pill. His name is Milo and he is also 3 years old. I am working on house training him, all over again. I am learning that little Boy dogs are harder than little Girl dogs to house break. I am going to end up with a speckled carpet.

I have not done a bit of Christmas shopping yet. Hope you are all doing better at it than I. We have been having a bit of cold weather here in Florida that should put me in the mood. But so far nothing.

CAN YOU BELIEVE! ! !

Well Folks, here we are once again and I ask "How could it be here already"? I know many of you are saying the same thing. THANKSGIVING ~ CHRISTMAS ~ WOW! ! !

Even though I have been making Santa's and SnowMen since June, I am still in disbelief.

Last year I concentrated on Santa's and this year it is SnowMen. It just depends on my mood.hehehe

My brother, Richard had 2 strokes on July 2nd. So needless to say I spent a good deal of my time at the hospital. Then when he was moved to rehab, I tried to get there at least once a week. Now that he is home, it seems it has turned into 2 - 3 weeks for each visit. He has made great strides in recovering, the biggest problem now is trying to get his speech back. I am sure it will come in time.

Well that took up a good deal of time in July, Aug, and Sept. The Christmas House opened on Oct.30th. That is in Leesburg, Florida. I worked very hard to get enough inventory in order to do that show. I must say, I do not have as much stock there as I did last year. So I am sure I will not do as well.

The last 3 weeks I have spent time getting inventory ready for Renningers Extravaganza. That is a huge deal in this area. Dealers come from all over the country to participate in that Flea Market. So I am hoping to do well there. Next year I may skip the Christmas House and just do Renningers. We will see........

I guess that gets you all up to date on my exciting life (hehehe).

I have some darling items on ebay right now, but just not getting the visits that I used to get. Not real sure why that is.

I am still with Lemon Poppy Seeds and Pattern Mart. Sorry I do not have the links for either of those. Just Google it.

Here it is Sat. and I have been doing a jumble of all kinds of things. First off I added 3 new items to Lemon Poppy Seeds. Monday is the 15th so new items were required. I added 2 Halloween Witches and 2 Americana dolls. Then I put a couple new things on ebay. Best of all, I have wanted to get my ME page back on ebay, so I just finished that. Not to sure if I am happy with it all, but it will have to do for the time being. Some days my mind works in a creative way and some days it doesn't. Today was a doesn't,hehehe.

This week I got 3 patterns sent off to Brenda, she turns them into PDF for me. Hopefully I will get them back by Tuesday and get them listed on my website and Pattern Mart.

I joined a new group this week, can not for the life of me think of the name. Will have to get back to you on that one. Not to sure about it, don't seem to have many primitive folks on there. Maybe that is a good thing.

Well, I have gotten back on ebay this week also. Not doing to well there. I just don't seem to get the traffic that you would think that I should. Geez, I have been selling on there since 2003. But my following just don't seem to be buying. Of coarse everyone has tighted their belts these days. But others seem to be getting bids. Sure wish I knew what you all wanted.

Just checked on my kitty, Shadow. He would rather bake out on the screen porch, than be inside in the cool air conditioning. Boy not me, I really hate the heat of the summer anymore.

Hard to believe that Spring is no longer. Here it is Summer already. Here in Florida we are into the 90 degrees and will be for the next 5 months. Isn't that a Joy full thought. Once again I am stuck inside with the house all closed up and Air Conditioning running full force.$ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ Wow! ! I am seeing dollar signs already. I really need to give April and May credit. Unusually so, we had 2 beautiful months this Spring. So I am very thankful for that much.

I have already been making Santa's and their patterns. Now I have switched over to some Fall items. Today I am painting a couple of my Jack-O-Lin dolls, Smaller pumpkin head dolls and a couple of black dolls. I set up a table outside to dry them on. Do not want to turn the oven on and waste my air.

WELL I FINALLY FINISHED THE BOTTOM STEP. JUST COULD NOT GET IN THE MOOD TO FINISH IT UNTIL TODAY. SHADOW KEEPS STEPPING ON IT, BUT HE IS SO LIGHT WEIGHT HE DOESN'T EVEN LEAVE A MARK.
SINCE MY SALES ARE NEXT TO NOTHING ON EBAY, I HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE A LONG DESERVED BREAK FROM EBAY.
I WILL STILL BE LISTING NEW ITEMS AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH ON LEMON POPPY SEEDS. ALSO, I WILL CONTINUE TO LIST MY NEW PATTERNS ON PATTERN MART AND MY WEB SITE AND ALSO ON LPS.
WITH ALL MY YARD WORK AND SPRING CLEANING (which runs into summer) I JUST NEEDED A BREAK SOMEWHERE. SO THIS TIME I OPTED FOR EBAY.

I am still working on my Screen Porch (Florida Room). Got it all painted, now trying to decorate it. Transplanted some indoor outdoor plants in Pots this AM. They just liven up the room. Just taking my time to get it docorated. Still need to cement the bottom step. Paint the Wicker Furniture and cover coushens, got the fabric yesterday. Using diff. deniums. Will have pictures at the end of decorating it.

Well, got to get back to work. Creating another Santa Pattern, put 2 new ones on Pattern Mart last week. Hey, take a look at my Pattern Shoppe on Poppy. Any requests just email me.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been keeping very busy, between the house, yard and creating new items to sell. Also I have been working on new patterns. I even have a new Santa coming out real soon. I think this is the earliest I have ever finished a new Santa. But I wanted to get started on Santa Patterns for 2009. Of coarse I have to make the Santa first and then do the pattern.

I tried something new today. I spread cement on my steps going from the kitchen to the outside Screened in Porch. A couple of years ago, I tore off the carpet that covered those steps and was using folded throw rugs to cover up the uglyness. Well I bought me a bag of cement and decided to smooth a layer of cement over all the uglyness. I got the top step finished and ran out of dried cement, so will have to go to town to buy another bag. Beleive it or not, it seems to already be dry. I do not plan to walk on it until tomorrow, just to make sure. Now I am not sure if this stuff will stay on or crack off. But what the heck, at least I have given it the old college try. I even have some cement sealer that I plan to coat the step with.

My daughter, Vikki is coming up in a couple of weeks to help me paint the screen porch. I am real excited about that. We will work a couple of days and then go play at least one day while she is here. She will be here for my Birthday, so I am sure we will go out to eat on that night. I have such fun when she comes for a visit. Her guys will just have to get along without her for a few days.hehehehe

I just finished 2 Kitty Cats today. One went on ebay (catsinthebarn*primitives) and the other on Lemon Poppy Seeds. I will be doing that pattern real soon. So take a look when you have time.

What a beautiful week we have had here in Central Florida. Had my house opened up all week, no air or heat running. Yea! ! Easy on the Power bill. Sure wish I could send some SunShine to ya'll. I must say we need rain badly, they are saying possibly Monday.

Here I am more than 1 year later......Why do I have such a tough time keeping up with this BLOG thingie. Here again I will blame it on my age.hehehe Just don't seem to be enough time in one day to get it all done, anymore. I just am no longer the WHIZ KID I used to be.

So please allow me to start all over again. FRESH AND NEW OK????????

As some of you know I live in Central Florida, Leesburg. Well to us it has been a long and drawn out winter. Usually I say that about our Summers. I know you will scream out loud when I tell you our temps. are now in the 80's during the days and 55degrees at night. I realize some who are reading this are still having much colder temps. Sooooooooooo! I will try and send you some of our SUNSHINE, if you ask me to..... hehehe, sure wish I could do that.

Well a couple of week-ends ago my Sister, Sally and Brother-In-Law came down for a visit from OHIO. Sorry to say it was still nippy here, but they didn't think it was so awfully bad. Then we all went to Vero Beach, where my daughter Vikki and family live. Sally and Red went on to some friends to spend a few days. Vik and I had a great time. She has just quit her job of 2 years (she hated it), so we got to spend some quality time together.

I told her I could sure get used to this retirement and being lazy real fast. But since I need to earn money to live on, I got in my car and headed home last Saturday. I am still having trouble getting in the groove of working. I did get 8 bodys made up yesterday and grunged today. I will start stuffing those guys tonight in front of the TV.

Now I am headed back to my work room and work on 8 more different sized bodys. I like to have a big pile of bodys to work with come July or Aug. When I will start decorateing them for the Fall and Christmas Shows.

So please excuse me......I promise it will not be another year before I post again.

HAPPY NEW YEAR YA'LL

BOY AM I EVER BEHIND.....SEEMS TO BE THE STORY OF MY LIFE THESE PAST MANY MONTHS.
I am going to try my very best to do better in 2008. Gee you didn't even hear from me in November or December. That tells you just how busy I really was.
I had great sales Nov. and Dec. Cause I kept my nose to the grindstone.
Well I guess most folks across the country are freezing. We just aren't used to this dip in tempature here in Fl. I did not bother covering anything up. My vegetation around this house is just to vast to even begin to cover up. Looking out I can see that the old Frost Bunny got alot of my shrubs and plants. One nice thing about living in Florida, it will be in the 70's by this week-end. I will then get out there and clip everything back. Hopefully I won't loose much. But it did dip down into the 20's last night.

HAPPY FALL YOU ALL! ! ! ! !

Well here we are in Oct. already and I am heavy into making Santa's and SnowMen. As far as I am concerned, my Fall creating just doesn't last long enough. I started making Fall and Halloween items in July and continued on until the end of Sept. If I had my way, I would make Fall things all year long. But we have to keep up with the Seasons.

I went to Vikki and Marks over the week end. Max had a big Football game Friday night that we all went to. Max is suffering with Mono, but played one heck of a game. He is the kicker for Vero H.S., can you believe he is a Senior this year. Gee they just grow up to fast.

Vik and I shopped all day Sat. and had a great time. That is something I do not do a lot of, SHOP. But it was such fun spending the day with her. We just don't see much of each other anymore. I left Sunday AM and came on home. My two boys (Charlie and Shadow) were so happy to see me. They are such good cats and lots of company for me.

Well today was a sad day at the Feurer (Vikki and Mark and Max) house. They had to have Casey, the family dog put to sleep. I am still crying over that. Casey would have been 16 this Dec. That is a long life for a blonde Lab.

OK, got to get back to work. Keep watching for those new patterns and my new creations. Would love to hear back from you if you have read this blog.

HAPPY LABOR DAY

Gosh, What happened to the Summer? School has already started down here in Florida. When I was a kid (100 years ago), we always went back to school the day after Labor Day. That was the mark of the end of the summer. Of coarse here in Fl. we have at least 2 more months of the really hot stuff. If only the nights would cool down abit, I would be happy. I am so ready to open my windows and doors and let in the fresh air. It has been along and hot one.

I have been working hard and fast at making new Fall and Halloween items. Have been selling some of them on ebay and taking the rest to the shoppe in Maitland. That July is almost over. Where in the world has the summer gone. Of coarse here in Fl. our summer goes on and on. I just mean the summer months.

I am working very hard on Fall items and even a little Christmas already. In this business you have to be one step ahead at all times. By the time the Holiday gets here I am usually pretty tired of it. Not really complaining, that is just the way of life in this biz.

I am trying to keep alot of interesting items on ebays auctions. My E-Bay ID:catinthebarn (no s on cat).

We are putting a new button on my website to say ONE OF A KIND. Those items will be my proto types for my patterns. So if you see something, don't wait to long to grab, there will not be another.

The shoppe in Maitland "Cranberry Corners", has been rather slow this summer. But that is to be expected, happens every year. When school gets back in session, things will pick-up once more.

I am pumping out the patterns as fast as I can. If you have any requests for a pattern, just email me and I will see what I can do.

A BAD WEEK ENDS UP OK! ! ! ! ! ! !

This has been along and hard week for me. Last Friday I was on the phone with 4 diff. techs. trying to fix my printer and also get back on line. Well by Sat. I was back on line, but my printer still would not work. My cartridges were reading full, so I didn't think that was the problem. Low and behold on Sunday, my daughter said, "maybe your black cartridge is clogged." Well that had never dawned on me, but low and behold, I changed out the black and Viola! ! it printed for the first time in a week. So if ever your printer just stops printing black, and it reads full, change it out anyway. Then the next day I shook the clogged cartridge and it has worked ever since.

Next I took some pictures and when I tried to transfer them onto the computer, they would not transfer. That was 3 days ago, so today I devoted most of the day to the new problem. Beleive it or not, I finally got it to work. Don't ask me how, but something I did along the way corrected the problem.

So now, finally, I am back in business and have put 2 new patterns on Pattern Mart. Then I am having a new pattern "Liberty Bell" #53 transferred into an e-pattern. So hopefully I will put that one on Pattern Mart tomorrow.

On with Life............Our weather here in Florida has made another change today. It was overcast all day and just delightful. We are now having a wonderful breeze and of coarse I have my house all opened up. It will be delightful sleeping tonight. We are suppose to be getting rain this week-end. I think it could rain 7 days and 7 nights and our lakes would still be lower than normal. Come on Rain...........

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT IS THE MIDDLE OF MAY?

I am not sure what happend to April, let alone March. Time just goes by so fast, I find it hard to keep up with everything. Of coarse I have slowed down in my old age. But I am not dead yet.

I am so excited to be a part of Pattern Mart. I have listed many of my new patterns and old ones on that site for sale. Kelle Arvay (owner of the site) does a wonderful job in promoting new and better ideas for Pattern Mart. So if you make patterns and are looking for an outlet, contact Kelle at Pattern Mart. Mention my name if you go there.

Also, I am happy to report, that I have started to do a little creating this week. For those of you that have kept up with my comings and goings, you already know that I have been simi retired from the creating business. I have been devoteing my time to my yard and flower gardens. Of coarse, I have been turning my patterns into e-patterns and making new patterns. The pattern business seems to be where my passions are these days.

So now when I do make a new creation, I will also turn it into a new pattern.

I have also been selling off things from my work room on e-bay. Right now I do not have anything on e-bay. I find it gets rather depressing to list things on e-bay and not have them bid on. Or else, they get one bid and that's all. So I will take a break from that for awhile.

I had written an April Blog, but for some reason it did not appear like it should have. So Hopefully this one works OK.

Been fun chatting and I will try to keep up better than I have done in the past.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with my Blogs. But to bring you up todate, I am now very much into doing E-Patterns. I have a number of new ones on my Web Site www.catsinthebarn.com So you can take a look there.

We had a pretty cold week here last week, but it has been warming up for the past several days. We needed the rain we got, but I am always happy to see the sun shine. The glumieness puts me in a bad mood.

If you have been watching my e-bay, you know that I have been cleaning out my work room. Still not finished with it and will be putting more stuff on as the days go by.
